A note from Elena

Elaine, your cabbage is growing , and it is starting to head now.
We have to go back to NY on sunday because the girls go back to school on the 8h.
on the 10th will be back here and I hope I will be able to harvest it at that time. There are 3 more cabbages but they are small and I transplanted them. I hope they will grow now. I will be back here for one more week before the end of september, then will not come up anymore for a wile, so I hope I will be able to pick them before.
sorry I do not have picture now. But the bigone is very impressive!
ciao
Elena

A Report from Queens

Update from across the river, the cabbage isn’t dead. In fact, I think there is still a chance it might grow into a beautiful vegetable.

cabbages in august

Dear Elaine,

My 2 1/2 survivors are doing well. They were sharing one pot so I had to transplant one of them this weekend. The procedure went well and all the patients are thriving.
